Rising tech house star Cloverdale looks to House Divided, Cave Studio, Eleganto, and FOVOS for remixes of “Watch That Tongue.”
When he’s not streaming from the bathtub, Cloverdale has been showcasing the best in tech house with his releases and performances. Though he’s often billed as a funny man, he says his music and live sets are all about getting everyone united on the dancefloor, an aspect that was put on full display during his set at EDC Las Vegas back in May.
Last year, Canadian tech house sweetheart released “Watch That Tongue” on Insomniac’s IN / ROTATION and was selected by the imprint to take on the mixing duties for their Best Of compilation. Now, Cloverdale is showcasing his love for other artists in the scene who are churning out dancefloor hits with four new remixes of the track. As the sound selector behind Vibrancy Records, he certainly knows how to create an all-star roster of producers and chose House Divided, Cave Studio, Eleganto, and FOVOS to twist the track in their own way.

While “Watch That Tongue” showcases the upbeat quirk of Cloverdale’s sound, the collective spirit of these new remixes makes it feel harmonious but never forced. Every take on the track has its own signature flair, from the synth drips and joyful glitch of Eleganto’s mix to the fake-out drop from FOVOS, with the undeniable catchy hook from the original holding them together.
